should the wheel nuts for the wheels have washers on them....

as far as i was aware, all ally wheels with steel wheel nuts should have a washer behind the nut.... when i bought the new superlites i was told that they dont need them....

i find this hard to belive and the fact thet my front wheel nuts keep slackening off whilst im driving says there is something wrong somewhere :?

can anyone help :(

no they wernt new... bought them off my uncle... not that iv paid him for them yet

there are two different types of nuts :?

they both fit the wheel and i know thats what wheel they came off as he hasnt had any other alloys

one is a 17mm head and it sticks out of the whell about 15/20mm and is a crap raw metal look

the others are nice and polished but are 19mm heads and only stick out of the wheel about 5mm and its hard to get a socket on them

:(

i can only get about 3 turn on the nuts before they are tight.... is this enough??? even if it isnt... they still shouldnt come loose!

I can't remember what they look like, but the ones i got were shiny and definatly went on more than three turns. I think performance sell nuts on ebay, try searching on there and see if any of them look similar. If you're still stuck i can walk down to the garage and look at mine tomorrow.
