bomber1 Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 unless u go huge the servo wont be a problem. i had a 2.25in system in mine and was fine. i had more off an issue with the alternator hitting the servo
andytechno Posted November 21, 2007 Author Report Posted November 21, 2007 oh right so how did u get over that one jase.
bomber1 Posted November 21, 2007 Report Posted November 21, 2007 went to the local breakers and got an alternator bracket off a late sierra with power steering. now this bracket puts the altnator low with the pump above it on the same bracket. so cut off what metal i didnt want and bolted it up. an rs ally bracket should do it but modern alternators are quite a bit bigger than those used on the orignol rs's. tho try finding a pinto sierra in the breakers
Admin Vista Posted November 21, 2007 Admin Report Posted November 21, 2007 It's not really the exhaust that causes the problem with the servo, it's the exhaust manifold. A standard 4 branch will be fine but if you go up to the 3 piece 2.25" or 2.5" manifold that's when you introduce complications of fouling on things and not only the servo either.
