paul capri Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Hi to everyone reading this! heres a little bit about me, might be worth reading...... I may only be 16 but ive had 2 capris already, 1 which I still own. I had a 2.8i a few months back which i bought for £1950 (on ebay), spent the whole summer and £200 quid on her, sold her on for £4850 (on ebay)! Yes i was quite shocked too as i sat at the computer watching the maximum bid rise! The 2700 profit has paid for a mint 2litre laser which was another ebay steal, and i still have enough for my insurance (at 17 it will cost me £1900 to insure her!) The laser has been gutted completely apart from interior and im hoping to restore her to top class show condition in time for classic ford show and ford fair when i should be driving! I spend all my spare time working on my capri or when its dark and raining; reading about capris and rebuilding/tuning pintos and such like! Only thing is nobody else my age understands my love of classic fords and most think its wierd so i dont get to talk to any one like minded....
jimihendrix Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Jeez, you're off to a cracking start there lad , i had to make do with a £40 Fiat 127 when i was you're age. That was some profit on the 2.8i and pleased to see you are puting it into another Capri, probably better it's a laser too as a 2.8i would have been just about imposible for you to insure, £1900 for the laser is bad enough Oh, and don't worry what anyone think's about you're love of classic Fords, they're wierd for not loving them
