Guest MK1gaz Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 but y wont u prove itIt's not ready yet is it ? I've only driven it 3 times so far and the brakes don't work properly (though good enough to pass an mot ) , i've had 3 starter motors , broke 2 alternators , oil leaks , exhaust banging on the leaf spring and axle , no fuel gauge or temp gauge working , it still needs more mapping and cam adjustments so when it's all sorted next year i'll piss a low 13 as it is at Brunters , 12's with the heavy bits taken off and 11's with all the heavy bits taken off + gas

Guest MK1gaz Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 Like I already said ,yeah, yeah, yeah, yawwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnn puddy And like i've already said = Faster than your 14 sec 1/4 mile at Brunters that you did with 500 bhp (more like 400) and all the bits missing .
kevmk2 Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 11 seconds at brunters wont be easy, ive only done a low 12 up there. No grip at all up there
Guest MK1gaz Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 Kev didn't you do a 12.0 up Brunters . Not much can get under 13.0 secs on street rubber so if anyone does then it's a great time .

Toby Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 All this heckling's made me think hmmmmmm! Gaz, if you go, I'll go. I will weigh my car, I will match your weight, and then you can whoop me!! I recon I should run a 13,5 on road tyres on concrete - it's what it's done at North Weald.
Guest MK1gaz Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Don't worry turbo nitrous boy , i'll be showing you how it's done next year
Guest MK1gaz Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I recon I should run a 13,5 on road tyres on concrete I'll run a 13.5 on concrete with my eyes shut drinking a cup of tea
Toby Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I recon I should run a 13,5 on road tyres on concrete I'll run a 13.5 on concrete with my eyes shut drinking a cup of tea It's an amusing answer, but it's a little non-commital!!
Guest MK1gaz Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I'll run a 13.5 or faster on street rubber with no bits missing on any street , track , airfield in the U.K. next year . I won't need gas or a turbo either
Toby Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 At this event? Ah ha I think you're cornered!!
Guest MK1gaz Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 At this event? Ah ha I think you're cornered!! Depends when it is , but i can run a 13.5 or faster right now straight out the garage down the by-pass . No need to change wheels + tyres over , no need to change gear ratios so it's flat out at a ton , no need to fill up a gas bottle , no need to take half the car too bits , no need for a trailer + no need to turn up a turbos boost to 38 psi and phone the A.A. !!!!!!!!!
Toby Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Same for me dates wise, but it would be good to get that car of yours out there!! Sorry about my AVATAR!! I'm only doing it for Zetecvan's sake!!

RETRO_AL Posted December 10, 2007 Author Report Posted December 10, 2007 So the clock @ santa pod lies because on a real life surfaces like brunters, times are slower?
H.P.E harry Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I've got nothing to lose though have i ?Not many N.A. 4 cylinder engines have beaten my old Harris pintos 14.4 sec 1/4 mile or it's 6.0 secs 0 to 60 mph i did last time have they ? I did that with a proper unlightened street car with 175/50/13 tyres , a £30 type 9 gearbox ,45's and points . My new engine is muuuuuuuuch faster than before so i could piss a low 13 up there or a 12 with all the bits missing I do know of a N.A 4 cylinder, full bodied car thats a done a quicker 0-60 then your old harris pinto, my brothers 2.1 harris pinto'd esc'y. 0-60 in 4.6 seconds
Toby Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 So the clock @ santa pod lies because on a real life surfaces like brunters, times are slower? Dynos and Tarmac - not to be trusted!!
Toby Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Sorry about my AVATAR!! I'm only doing it for Zetecvan's sake!! Looks like a ladyboy You must be fussy!
kevmk2 Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 So the clock @ santa pod lies because on a real life surfaces like brunters, times are slower? Ive never known road surfaces to be like the crap concrete at brunters Thats why my 0-60 there was 4.3 seconds but at pod on proper tarmac its around 2.5 seconds, now wheres that Veyron
Guest MK1gaz Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 So the clock @ santa pod lies because on a real life surfaces like brunters, times are slower?I can run a 13.5 or faster at Brunters with my eyes shut mate and i'll be even faster down the high street
Guest MK1gaz Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I do know of a N.A 4 cylinder, full bodied car thats a done a quicker 0-60 then your old harris pinto, my brothers 2.1 harris pinto'd esc'y. 0-60 in 4.6 seconds GO ON THE PINTOS
