Chrome Roof Mount Aerial - Im Fitting One YKT !!!!!!

I need to fit some sort of ariel to my MK1 Escort as i am going to put a radio in and i just wondered what you all think of the chrome roof mount ones that were around in the 70's.Obviously to do this i need to make a hole in my roof which is absolutely mint and seems criminal but i think these are the best looking ariels.

when i had wigns put on mine it had an aeriel and i told the guy doing it to just bin the aerial cos i dont really need it....

i have a chrome roof arial on my mk1 and it dose look good, just bear in mind that it will be very difficult to get the cable though the a post
