BaileyMex Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 Fookin blinding little discovery! I have seen these Broadband speed internet dongles being advertised by T-Mobile & '3', and read that basically it sounds like a mobile that has a SIM card but with no screen or buttons, So I thought sod it, I'll connect my mobile (Nokia N95) to my lap top which I brought to work today and try it out!! Connected via Nokia PC suit and BINGO!!! I'm online thru my mobile!! TOP ONE However it is bloody slow tho @ 460.8 kbps And I have no idea how much 02 are charging me for it  Anyone else used their mobile to surf the web? and how much did it cost you?
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 I got a £300 bill once after using my PDA and phone for a few days. I was charged £8 per meg (I think). That's with T-Mobile. JohnnyH told me you can have unlimited access for £10 a month but you have to tell them you want it.
BaileyMex Posted December 27, 2007 Author Report Posted December 27, 2007 Ahh right Disconnecting until I've spoke to 02 then Might be back on soon................. or not
Slik 50 Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 LOL I brought my sons PSP into work a few weeks ago and did the same but what a pain in the ass to use Its not to bad as it is dead today and there is no management in
atomic-cortina Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 I use my PSP all the time for the internet, know problems so far It can be slow for typing though.
bmxdave Posted December 27, 2007 Report Posted December 27, 2007 There was a story of someone who used the t'interweb on his mobile for proper hours downloading full films and that and then got some ridiculous £20,000 bill.
BaileyMex Posted December 27, 2007 Author Report Posted December 27, 2007 spoke to 02 and they said If i'd carried on using it, it would have been expensive, they offered me unlimited internet browsing for only £7.50 per month!! But using the mobile IS slower than one of these broadband dongles Oh what to do
