so when i was ill the fiesta sat for a week and wouldnt start think ive got that sorted but then have to leave it over xmas stood up again

 

get it started with not to many problems so leave it running for 15mins get some heat in it

 

 

 

 

 

go to move it press the brake pedal and it hits the floor

 

 

 

 

this car usuually gets the living day lights thrashed out of it daily and look what it does to me when it gets a rest

I find they can still spit the dummy out the pram, i use my 2.8 Granny most days, agreed to collect my brother from Glasgow airport on monday morning, went out and started the Granada to find it was running like a bag of sh*te , nothing else for it, i had to drive it like that to the airport hoping it did'nt chuck it all together.

 

To be fair it did clear by the time i got back so i think it was just damp as my garage does get condensation now and again, have'nt started it since monday though

i usually do and it was dong my head in last week not getting to use it

 

 

head gasget is almost done taken me just over 2 hours so far and im just putting it all back together, took me about a week last time

Dont forget to fix the brakes before you road test the head gasket

ive got that joy tomorrow as i cant be bothered fetching the jack at the moment its down with the anglia

 

cant find the haynes at the moment im sure the torque figures on the sheet of paper that came with the gasget are way too high

 

final torque is 73ish isnt it? or was it 63ish?

 

the bit of paper says 80 odd which im sure is too much

according to my fezza haynes manual it says 77

engine fired on the second turn of the key

 

 

missing on one cylinder and sounds like a singer sewing machine so i guess ill check my rocker gaps in the morning and bleed the brakes and fingers crossed shes a runner again

Last time i left my mk2 escy parked up about 4 weeks first turn of the key started straight up,the battery didnt even need a boost

 

It's been 3 weeks now and a tyre's gone flat ,best check i left the handbrake off too

my capri was never like that... it always broke when i was driving it

 

 

used to leave it and get all giddy looking forward to drive it.... and it used to look forward to bringing the twatty driver out of me

 

we used to have a blast and then the moment i wanted to use it for something serious like.. getting home... or dropping someone off it used to give up on me

brakes are all sorted now just need todo an oilchange as i think i got a load of coolant in the oil

 

but seriously thinking about a new motor come MOT time the poor old girls slowly dieing

well been away for the weekend so fired her up this morning and went into town

 

thought id check the timing loosed the dizzy and wiggled it set the light and it was spot on from where i wiggled it too

 

 

so i pulls out my drive tip toes along and gives it some,.....fook me........NOIESEY or what

 

 

so come out a junction further down the road and all most end up in the ditch
