engine colour

out of intresst is their a precific colour a engine should be,has ive got to start doing mine,any sugestion,s on colour's or pic's of what go's well together

I think I'm right in saying that standard OSF engines have either been Blue or Black.

I seem to remember a lot of black Pinto and Essex blocks back in the day, though the V8's were mostly 'Dulux Blue'.

 

Hope this helps, but I'm sure there's an absolute expert on here who can not only tell you the colour, but tell you the paint code too.

 

Personally, Smoothrite Blue has always been my paint/colour of choice, but then I'm hardly a purist!

IMO, colours other than black, red or the old skool green look poo. And when people paint the cylinder head too! that is awfull!!

Depends on the colour of the car and the engine bay IMO but I think red blue or yellow can look cool

my 1.6 x-flow was re-conditioned at some point an painted green...

dnt look too bad but would have liked it black (as in a blackan white car)

the more i look at it the more i like it tho, cus its different...
