zetecmk2 Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 i went, the pub was shut!!! the carpark was empty!! think i was a bit late did drive past a blue mk1 cortina though!!! who was that?
Toby Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 i went, the pub was shut!!! the carpark was empty!! think i was a bit late did drive past a blue mk1 cortina though!!! who was that? An more elderly bloke had the blue Mk1 - standard with a bench seat - there were 5 MK1 Cortinas there, how common!! The pub shut at 2.30, so it was an early finish. Quite a tame and quiet setting. Not really a burn out location My exhaust broke off at the head so I drove nearly all the way home with one branch screaming an inch from the bulkhead!! When I turned off the motorway 5 minutes from home I realised I had lost all my clutch fluid too, so no clutch. Nice!! It's always eventfull going out in 40 year old cars!!
Baz. Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 Fook me i could walk to this in 10 mins, didnt even see it was on
Toby Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 Fook me i could walk to this in 10 mins, didnt even see it was on I was thinking that it's easy to miss meets, If you look in the events diary it's not mentioned, not a critism, just an observation. I wouldn't have seen it if Slidelong hadn't mentioned it. Shame to have missed it if it was that close mate
