Im doing 45hrs a week in asda (fooking hate it and the people with a passion) all for £650 a month! did the same myself, city in guilds 1, 2, 3 and then a b/tec national diploma in mechanics, could i get work? no, not enough experience even though id worked on cars, and built a couple from the age of about 12. to get experience offer to do some voluntry work on ye days off from asda and build a portfolio of the cars/work you've done yourself. saying that though, im now working as a transport manager and all the mechanical skills iv got are for my own use. iv got mates who did get a job in a garage after college and they hate it and can never be arsed working on there own cars of a night because they've been on the spanners all day. use your skills for yourself and just get any job doiing anything that pays enough money to buy some goodies for your motor
