sambo Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 Had a visit from W.P.E yesterday to have a listen to my engine and confirm that it has spun a shell or something. So, i'll be spending this morning un-bolting the carbs, exhaust, etc ready to lift the engine out when i get the chance. Then it'll be dropped off to W.P.E for a look and some work, hopefully next week. Trouble is, is that i have a place booked at the Retro ford track day at brands, im not sure whether to try to sell my place, cancel it for the 3 months credit with motorsport vision or chance it and hope that i get the car up and running in time?!?!? The engine let go after a session on the rollers, on the way home. I had just fitted some new carbs, so it cost me a session on the rollers, new carbs and an engine rebuild that day..... just to lose 0.5 of a horsepower!!! Ah well, i have a beef and tomato pot noodle to keep me company in the garage!
Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 16, 2008 Admin Report Posted February 16, 2008 Ask Wayne if he thinks it will be ready in time
Toby Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 Ask Wayne if he thinks it will be ready in time Lol that's a good idea!!
sambo Posted February 16, 2008 Author Report Posted February 16, 2008 Lol, it's not only whether Wayne and co can get it done in time, it's whether i can get it back in and rolling roaded in time! The rollers aint cheap!!
V8ian Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 If its been set up and the engine is going back as it was originally built, you should not need to have it set up again.
w p e Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 from what i saw after a rollers session i think better sort it out once its back in and running
