Anyone?? im pretty useless on the computer apart from being able to use the net etc, and iv got a really annoying pop up everytime i switch on called 'spyshredder' saying its found threats such as Trojan Horse etc.

 

Then it runs a scan and want 30 dollars off me for 'cleaning' my unit.

 

iv tried removing the program but its still here

if its starting when the pc starts up then you need to switch the auto start off....use http://www.tune-up.com/products/tuneup-utilities/ or removing the start up entry

I've got one that has switched spybot off for me I suppose it knows that SB will get rid of it

tried that link...it found some entries that were advised to be deleted...but then saying to register ...at a cost

which link?...tune up utilities is only a free trial ! ...unless you know what to do with it ....but i cant say on a public forum

 

and spybot should be completely free, their is loads of free programs out their ...you just need to know which ones

Adaware from Lavasoft is pretty good at removing all that sort of crap. It's a free download too.
