Rick Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 how about laying under the car in your mums front garden hack sawing through a petrol strap it snaps petrol in both eyes that hurts , stripping under seal of the car followed by a night in casualty getting metal out my eye i have really enjoyed building my car NOT serves you right.
badchild Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Bought my car not running and found that there wasnt 1 wire in the dashboard, no grommits in bulkhead, brakes half metric half imperial and cable tied out of the road to hide it, carb fooked inlet manifold fooked, halfshafts fooked,propshaft fooked, hardy splicer fooked, seats held in with spouting bolts, 4 door back seats TIED in with BLUE ROPE!!!! for fook sake!!!! i swear the bastard will get a pickshaft next time, the amount of time that has went into my so called finished car is unreal fixing someones bodge jobs and hidden horrors, the joys of osf'in
Mr Sam Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Try changing a gearbox on a 1.3 mk4 escort,because it was only a small engine and box we just whiped the lot out and changed the box on the deck.Put the it all back in started it up put it into gear to check gearbox was a good'n and to make sure clutch had been lined up.We had taken the drive shafts completely off to make life easier,hadnt put them back in,when i put it in gear and expected the car to move all the gears fell apart OOOOOPS!!!!
FredTransit Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Getting the wiper motor still on the internal arms (cos it wouldn't come off) form under what was left of the dash on a Mk2 transit..... Best done if you are not of this earth and your arms bend backwards. Long dash section out Instrument cluster out Steering wheel off Glove box off Passenger door wide open (in traffic) Was contemplating taking the door off when I managed to move the assembly that extra half an inch and got it out.
