had a little fuel spill when plumbing the electric fuel pump in

will essos finest rot my boot out?

ive mopped it up and the garage door was left open for an hour afterwards to vent vapours

just worrying probily over nothing, just checking

i wouldnt worry too much, youd probably do more harm trying to wash it away with water or something like that..

 

petrol has avery low boiling point, meaning it evaporates very quickly, so if the area is well ventilated and at room temp a couple of hours should see it all gone... i dont think it will cause any long term damage though.

it will just evaporate away but it does react with some paints. it stripped the stoneguard off the inside of my boot.

 

it is a solvent afterall

hopefully tomorrow ill get the time to connect up the fuel pump outlet to the existing chassis pipe

dont think ill be trying to move a full fuel tank again in a hurry though

btw anyone got an idea how much bhp a facet redtop can fuel too?

on rallynuts they list it at approx 240bhp

sorry no idea, but maybe a search of the manufacturers website might have what you need? just an idea.

what about one of rally designs own pumps? they are cheaper than the facet one and have the same spec. i havegot one to try out

i was wondering at what power level was it a good idea to fit an extra pump
