Ahhh I see. I wasnt sure if you could anchor them straight down, I thought they might have had to have been angled or completey horizontal.

angled straight down is dangerous and in an accident the front seats will just fold up on you. the rear strap/s should be near to horizontal as possible. ask retro about this one im sure he will explain it all

agreed! all the force will shoot down your spine and possibly fold up the seat in a heavy colision.

theyre not straight down theyre about a foot further forwards than they would be if i removed the rear seat

Hese right used to do a lot of oval racing straight down position is a potential back breaker in an accident ... seen it happen

im putting original seat belts back in untill i can remove the rear seat gonna buy a newer escort mk5 0r 6 as a familly run about then my cortina can be purley for fun

All i done was took the back seats out and anchored them down in between the crease of the rear seats, then fitted them back in. I havn't got any pictures to show though

Same here. You can't really use the rear seat though but having it still fitted makes the car a LOT quieter!

i use the rear seat though at the moment but going to see a escort tomorrow s reg so its probally mk6 £150 2 months tax and test
