  1. There is a legal maximum height for speed bumps. Maximum height is 100mm so if you make sure that the lowest part of your car is higher than this then you should be ok. If they are higher than 100mm and damage your car you should be able to claim damages off of the council.
  2. As long as you use less than 2500 litres of veg oil a year you don't have to pay anymore tax on it. Old diesel cars with Bosch diesel pumps can use 80% veg oil with 20% petrol, loads of info floating around on the net
  3. If you mainly play games on your own or you don't know many people with the console, then a PS3 is a fine machine. If you love online gaming and all your mates have them, the XBox online experience can not be beaten. I know its not free but £40 a year is a bargain as its much much better than the PS3 version. That is reason enough to get the XBox version of GTA over the PS3 version as 16 player cops and robbers with your mates whilst slagging each other off over the headsets is fantastic
  4. Same here. You can't really use the rear seat though but having it still fitted makes the car a LOT quieter!
  5. Also 100 lbft @ 6000 rpm is better than 100 lbft @ 3000
  6. Probably the usual GT selection of cars, 100 slightly different skylines and virtually nothing from Europe *yawn*
  7. I thought that zetec 100E was in the 12's. When you beat that you can say zetecs are slow
  8. The one I bought from Rally Design many moons ago fit fine on my Mk2. There are a couple of different lengths of steering columns and some are too short with the gp4 knuckle I think?
  9. If its mapped properly on a decent ECU then it will be pretty driveable. You can map more less boost on part throttle now days so that you can choose how much power you want rather than all or nothing scary as fook old turbo cars
  10. Women have more accidents per mile but they are usually cheap car park dings rather than proper 10 car pile up man crashes. They also do less miles per year than men on average so the risk is lower.
  11. Yep as is said all three maps are stored in the ecu and are switched from the dash. It wouldn't cost three times the amount to map though because once you have a good map you copy it over and modify it for the higher octane fuel (much quicker than complete map). And he wants to use the third map for launch control which will be the same as the normal map but with the rev limit set at 3000rpm or whatever so you can full throttle launch it Oh and how many people with DCOE 45's run chokes bigger than 38mm? Thats the size you want to compare not the 45mm of the carb without chokes. My GSXR1000 throttle bodies have a 42mm diameter so can flow more than weber 45's. A 38mm bike carb will flow the same as a dcoe 45 choked to 38mm.
  12. *yawn* you can see where this thread is going from miles away...
  13. My zetec always used to start first time everytime without touching the throttle and it was never properly setup. The emerald ecu I use can do idle control by adjusting the ignition timing so the idle was rock solid And throttle bodies will give more peak power as they don't have a restrictive venturi and you are more flexible where you add fuel (injectors in the trumpet for max high rpm power, near the inlet valves for more midrange and economy). As I used my car everyday (only car) I saved loads in fuel and it went a long way to paying for the cost in just one year of use!
  14. I had 205's on my mk2 with standard arches and it fit ok... but it handled like a sack of shite. Was much improved after I moved to 185's
  15. That was my old 100E (the yellow one). I see the guy I bought it off has finished it in candy apple red as he said he planned. Where did you find those pics of it if you don't mind me asking (the ones of it in red)?
