where can I put speakers in Capri

I really dont want to cut any holes in my door cards or the rear shelve but I need some sounds in the car especially with the long drive to santa pod in june what have others done can you place speakers under seats anyone know where theres someone who can help I live in the sutton /cheam area

get a sub and speakers and put them in the boot o and don't forget the amp to power it fit all to a box and u can take it out n in when not required

You could always buy a set of second hand door cards, use them, and when you want just unhook the wires and remove

If you get decent 6x4's for the front door cards and 10cm speakers for the rear parcel shelf supports it will be a lot better than standard and will look standard...

can you get one of those speaker box's have seen them in store's not boom box proper speaker's and put it in the boot

Thanks for the comments I still dont know what to do i dont want to put boy racer boxes in the boot (No offence)would like an unobtrusive system really maybe something under the seat might well be an Ipod effort though Ill just have keep hunting around unless someone has had a stereo and speakers put in that you cant really see

If you just dont want to see the system you could go the stealth shelf route. Basically get a spare parcel shelf, or make one yourself, then cut the holes the correct size for the speakers and or subs you intend to use. Mount the speakers and what have you underneath the shelf with the speaker cone facing into the hole you've cut. then cover the shelf with a suitable material/fabric to match your interior. hey presto, invisible sound system

You can buy oldskool speakers from ebay that dont require holes to be but you just use the brackets supplied to fit them in which only requires 2 very small screw's (self tappers) to be put in.

do you know I might have to try and find some nice little box type speakers to go on the rear shelf that proper old skool,might have to trawl the boot fairs as im sure some old boy or girl will have some for sale somewhere

We do boxes for 6x9s that can be put anywhere ,we fitted them to my van and a concours mg the other day so the guy could remove them for shows

found a site based in america that makes retro looking modern radios(does that make sense) it is called retrosoundusa.com and they make them to fit the capri as well seem a little pricey at $280 but would be neat in the dash as no cutting involved at least for the radio ,anyone over here got one already

my voice is terrible although I cant resist a bit of kareoke all the crap singers cant ,my wife nearly divorced me because of my singing in the car ..then again MMMMMMmmmmm!!!!!!
