Crystal Headlights

Would I be right in saying that mk1 golf headlights will fit a mk1 escort??

Quite like the look of the crystal heads, anybody have them fitted??

 

Also, where's best to get them??

they do fit but they dont have the chrome surrounds. front panel needs a minor re-drill to fit them. standard ones are a tenner each inc the back plates - ever think your being ripped off buying OSF parts.......

 

might be poss to glue the chrome surrounds on to the lamp glass to make them look standard but ive not tried this

the chrome surround should fit .. i has some 240z headlamps on my estate . jus minor modification for the side light

i know they fit a mk1 fester, not sure about an escort

aren't mini headlights supposed to be a more straight forward fit in the mk1 escort??

Mini headlights just need the little metal tabs cut off. I had to use wire cutters as I have no power in my garage.

 

They are decent lights though, ebay £30. I am just going to clean up my old chrome surrounds.

got mk2 golf headlamps crystal on my mk2 escy, just needed to play around with my bowls and get some m6 nuts with self locking nuts to adjust the beam, nice
