Admin Vista Posted May 4, 2008 Admin Report Posted May 4, 2008 Yep, several times, you'll have a great time. How long are you staying and what sort of trip are you planning? i.e. Sightseeing / nightlife / shopping?
wanderer Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 i went a few years ago. When you leave the airport and go over manhattan bridge look to your right, there is a huge sports stadium and out side of it are the two flying saucer space ships from the film "men in black" . and down by the river is a huge aircraft carrier which you can go on which appeared in an eppisode of "american chopper" have a great trip

Empire state building has fantastic views across Manhattan. It's also worth catching the ferry from Battery park over to see the statue of Liberty and then on to Ellis island for the immigration museum

Burns Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 so east 42nd street then, not too hard to get anywhere from there we stayed in jersey for a bit of our stay too, not hard to get into the city by bus
zetecmk2 Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 me and my mate did the train ride to coney island, got pics of us in all the places that featured in the film "the warriors"
V8ian Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Been there a couple of times, Love the place, in 4 days you should just get a feeling for the place, -----then want more, Deffo do the aircraft carier, theres now a concorde down there as well, oh and a corvette and a sub that was used for the first submarine balistic missile tests as well, the carrier has all sorts of intresting aircraft on board, and its probably worth getting a guided tour, normally done by ex sailors who served on board, and if you are lucky one who served on board during WW2 of course Battery park and the Statue of liberty, Empire state building, Ground Zero is ,I have been told a good place to visit,?? LOADS of Muesiums [sp] to visit if you are that way inclined, The place where John Lennon was shot is just off central park,
escortmad79 Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 Michelle went a few years ago & ended up spending £600 on make up to get rid of money that she hadn't spent & then gave most of it away to her friends!! She wants to go back again sometime in the future
Tom Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I wasn't overly impressed by the statue of liberty but the empire state building was awesome!! Also for food there's a wicked diner opposite grand central station called pershing square - have the eggs benedict they are great!! also a really good seafood restaurant inside grand central and for a 8" tall deli sandwich and superb new york cheesecake go to carnegie deli at 854 7th avenue at 55th street
