can you get 7 inch wide wheels under a mk2 escort without any modification

 

i know it will depend on the offset but as a general rule???

 

how wide can you get under one?

Got sevens on mine and it is lowered at the front and rear by 2 inches

all i had to do was use 175 /50/13 tyres stretched onto the rims to make the tyres clear the arches

could do with the arches rolling though cos it does catch slightly when i bottom out

Or if runing standard ride height i woukd think you will have no problems

Or have i got 6.5s on ?????????

i know of someone running 8's on his and its lowered 4 inches

depends to an extent on the wheel offset

I have 7's with 175 x 50 x 13 A539's and it is lowered by about 2" I think, however, it does scrub when I have a passenger and also I cannot put in more than half a tank of fuel - it's a pain - I need to get my arches rolled

mine's on gen 7x13 4 spokes with 175/50's mate and i've never had clearance issues

mines lowered on 7in superlites, 175/50s and hasnt rubbed once even with a passenger in the back
