I suppose if anyone's interested enough then they'll restore anything. I mean, I'm registered on the Ford Scorpio Forum and who would've though they would be worth restoring or even it's own forum :lol:

The problem is, many modern cars will not get to the restoration stage. If microchips and emissions cost hundreds to repair, and the price of scrap stays high they will be weighed in! Cars being scrapped are getting newer and newer, plenty of people I know have scrapped middle aged cars that are MOT'd The irony of it is middle aged cars look better due to the high proportion of plastic on them, but the legislation like emissions and technology like microchips stack the finances against them.

Remember when the dodgy fuel did for some sensors in modern cars recently? If that happened to a 9 year old car, a £300 bill might be the end of it.

I think cars worth restoring in the old sense of the word are not made any more. Nothing seems to have the sense of being created by blokes in brown coats

There are, and will be exceptons of course, but that's what a love of cars, and especially OSFs is all about.

Don't tell anyone, but I had an MG metro and I quite liked it  Wouldn't fancy crashing it into anything stronger than a fag paper though
