mk1rob Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 This is mine. I made it from sheel ally and sprayed it with stone chip shield. Gotta nice matt black finishe which is hard to scratch!
LEONMEX Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 where did you get the labels for your switches from mate?
mk1rob Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 got them from Demon tweeks mate. Come on a big sheet and you just cut out which ones you need (badly in my case! ) Here: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ ... de=CBSDBSS
Mr Sam Posted May 25, 2008 Author Report Posted May 25, 2008 nice one i was wondering about how to lable them also toying with the idea of spraying mine satin, makes the switches stand out more
Rick Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 spray it satin and then polish back the raised bits back to ally
Alan G Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 This is mine. I made it from sheel ally and sprayed it with stone chip shield. Gotta nice matt black finishe which is hard to scratch! How did you wire them into your loom mate? Looking to do the same myself!
mk3tina Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 to make the labels why not get a dymo? thats what i used and looks professional as thats what they use for labelling rally cars etc, not to mention labelling the flux capacitor in back to the future!
mk1rob Posted May 25, 2008 Report Posted May 25, 2008 How did you wire them into your loom mate? Looking to do the same myself! I used the wires from the standard switches for the things like lights, heater, wipers etc. Then for the other things like rad fan, i took a permanent live straight from the fuse box to the switch, then from the switch to the fan. The lower load things like the clock and the alarm led, i pinched a permanent live from the interior light as there wern't any more spare ways in the fuse box. Hope that makes sense
Mr Sam Posted May 25, 2008 Author Report Posted May 25, 2008 loving that adjustable traction control knob much like the one in Andy Frosts red victor the boost know....scary / very scary
Tom Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 Here's mine that i made about 7 years ago. I'm a bit bored with it now so may put it back to standard (except the one on the tunnel) but still have the push button start as there's something very satisfying staring an engine with a button Oh and my start button came off an old industrial washing machine control panel!!
Mr Sam Posted May 26, 2008 Author Report Posted May 26, 2008 spray it satin and then polish back the raised bits back to ally if i did it carefully that could be quite tasty
oddball Posted May 26, 2008 Report Posted May 26, 2008 if i did it carefully that could be quite tasty What like the cornetto you have just eaten!
