Noisy T5....

The Corty's T5 box is getting noisey it's always made a whining noise on overun 4th and 5th, but on the way home from the Pod tonight it's getting noisey in all the gears, need's a rebuild, any ideas on who the best people for the job weould be appreciated!

I got mine done by Glebe gearbox's in Stoke Mal, they took about 3-4 weeks but were very easy to talk to and the service was spot on. He reccomended a standard re-build for mine for the power I was running as he reckons there good for upto 400bhp, mine cost £627.45 (just checked the invoice ) which included delivery as well. They also make HD box's for racing applications, I think they developed and built them for the TVR race teams as well.

If you want somewhere local Malcolm have you tried DJ transmissions? I've had a gearbox and an axle rebuilt by them in the past and have never had cause for complaint

Thank's for the input guy's, will do some phoning around and see what they can offer, it got noisy just past Exeter, sounds like a bearing on the way out, guess it would last for a bit with normal driving, but the next OSFDC at the pod could kill it!
