when i did mine i opened one nipple a little and kept the pot topped up and let the fluid come out by gravity and then did the other nipple and then bled it normally and it was fine hope this was of some help :mrgreen::mrgreen:

Yes, that parts ok, but somat dont seem right, i got pipe goes in(from the strut) then pipe come out round to the front, and bleed nipple at the top on the back... it just dont look right to me.

If it's a new set up and the discs have a bit of surface rust / grooves, with new pads it could be that it all needs to bed in a bit - have you got at least "some" pedal?

this is how they should be plumbed.

Right here we go,

The red line shows where your pipe should run - i did mine with a bit of copper pipe as it sits closer to the caliper.

You have to do it this way as these calipers are split top and bottom (dual circuit) and originally had 2 feed pipes so you always had front brakes if one circuit failed,

No.1 - bleed for bottom 2 pistons (originally)

No.2 - Inlet to bottom postons from master cylinder

No.3 - inlet for top 2 pistons

No.4 - bleed for top 2 pistons

as you can see by plumbing the bleed (no.1) for the bottom pistons into the inlet (no.3) for the top pistons it negates the need for 2 inlets

another way to do it is put a T - piece in your feed pipe and run it into no.2 and 3 and put bleed nipples in the rest

Another thing you can do, is internally link the circuits by drilling 1 hole. You just need to think about it for a bit, but it's easy. You drill through under one of the pistons, I can't remember where, but once you have the circuit in your mind you'll know. Then you can put bleed nipples in all the outlets except the inlet  Obviously piping it up externally is fine too.

Looking at the photo - from memory the No 2 inlet goes to the far piston, so you drill through the base of the piston under the No 2 inlet and that then links all the systems because that links 2 and 3 internally.

So 2 is your feed in and all the others get nipples - mmmmm nipples everywhere!! :P

when fitting the princess 4 pots from new you have to take the caliper off the strut. put a block of wood between the pistons/pads. then as you bleed it turn the caliper so that each bleed nipple is at the top in turn as you bleed it. its because there is no fluid at all in caliper. i had same trouble. this worked for me.

??????

Gravity alone is enough to bleed these brakes mate. It's a bit of a frowned upon way to do it but i just undo the nipples and walk away for 10 mins - come back and top up the master and go away again.

come back, do up nipples, job done

i see, the ones i have a plumbed in exactly as the photo, so i take it they are wrong then... i did fear the worst. cheers.
