Year, 1968

Model, Cortina 240

Colour, Polar White

Engine, 1600cc x-flow

Transmission, 4 Speed Manual

Suspension, Std with nolthane bushes in the front

Wheels and Tyres, restored std with falcon hub caps, pirelli tyres

Brakes, Std

Interior, Standard (apart from stereo and voltmeter and fluffy dice)

 

General, 3 owners from new, 1st owner from new until july 06 ,the 2nd owner had it for 2 months , i've owned it since sept 06, I've been slowly getting things done, the first job was a service and then fixing the screen wash (this is a daily driver), replaced the clutch and rear main seal, repainted the wheels, fitted new bushes to the front suspesion and new front wheel bearings, converted to an alternator and fitted a voltmeter and a larger battery, replaced the mirrors, installed a c/d player, built a rear shelf and fitted sony speakers, recently mounted a sub box and amp. New steering wheel just been fitted

 

Future plans, lowering etc...

Looks nice! Perhaps the first 2-door I've seen from OZ!! Must be a rare one?

 

there are a few around, just seem to see more 4 doors about 440's 440L's and the GT's only came with 4 doors in Australia, the 2 doors were the lowest spec models 220 240

 

i have a mate local to me with a 240 with a GT interior inc gauges exhaust manifold and inlet and a 2000e gearbox :thumbsup:

how it looked 2nd day i got it note black mirrors and chipped paint on wheels

how it looks now, mirrors replaced, black paint removed from grille, ford badge added to drivers side, no plate surround fitted, amber inserts removed from indicators and orange bulbs fitted

Loving it, any plans for the wheels!
