instead of messing about with escorts and cortinas, should i cut to the chase and build me a gt40? kooltina is being space framed so if i'm going to do all this work, doesnt it make sence to build a gt40? my best car ever, ford, and made out of metal welded together! old skool ford sticker in the windscreen!!!! opinions.....

You can buy GT40 kit cars now, I used to do some work for a firm in the midlands called Tornado that make the kits.

some of them kits are pretty much bang on and you'de be hard pushed to tell it apart from a real one, especially if you put a 289 in it. sell the escy tomorrow for one, the best thing to do is try and find a half built one, although i reckon you'll still be looking around £15k by the time you've finished. :thumbsup:

I always wanted one and one day went to beaulie motor museum(spelt wrong but you know the one)and was gutted could almost fall to my knees like charlton heston at the end of planet of the apes because at 6"2 and 18 1/2 stone have two hopes of fitting in one truly gutted

but a mk2 tina is cooler esp if it has those arches and is mad and one of a kind
