sambo Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 What do people use to take a breather elbow from the cam cover? (cosworth yb) my old air compressor thingy is leaking oil everywhere!! Burtons dont sell anything, is it just a case of being creative?
Rick Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 cant you tap something in to it and use lots of locktite around it when you thread it in
Mk 1 Mark Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 You can buy the straight breather, why do you need it at an angle/bend? And i would always have it alloy welded i had mine tapped and it cam loose twice!! Once its welded it wont move or leak, Take the cover off clean it up weld it forget about it
kevmk2 Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 The majority of people dont have a breather out of the cam cover on cossies nowadays. What i have seen in the past is a thread tapped into the cam cover and a straight threaded tube screwed in.
