Cookie Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 Down to £120 in N london On it's way back down here aswell, amazes me mind when you hear at so and so area they are paying £240 and figs like that, never got near that by me be glad when it goes back to a ton a ton i must be honest, The cost of buying scrappers in to strip is a nightmare at the moment, folks bringing in mk3 fiestas with not a sausage of a good spare on it and wanting £200 cos there 'mate ' said it's worth £500 in scrap
Durham Fiesta Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 the current scrap prices are gonna be the demise of many an old car. There has been a capri sat in a yard for years near me and he would never sell it (and when he did put it up for sale wanted way ott for it). Well on the way to work on monday, saw it on the back of a pikey truck no doubt on route to the crusher
Cookie Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 How much are people getting a ton for alloy in your respective areas?? Just cashed a load of wheels in at the rate of £800 a ton, don't seem very much to me???
Rick Posted July 9, 2008 Author Report Posted July 9, 2008 bout 7.50 a kilo local to me. not sure what that is per tonne depends where you take it i think, iv changed places now as the old one used the old weights on a lever scales and i didnt trust them, digital scales seem to pay more
