man thats a pain in the arse!!! how did it happen?

im not actually sure but i have done 500 motorway miles this weekend and had my sunvisor down so didnt see it till this morning! i presume at some point on the motorway musta got chinked by a stone or something?

although looks more liek a stress crack cause i cant really see a stone chip which started the crack?!!

I have been told that most if not all windscreen firms are now discontinuing chip repairs. You normally get windscreen cover if you're insured fully comp and the excess is normally either £50 or £75.

Regarding your crack though, I had a screen on my old 2.0 Capri crack from top to bottom a few inches in from the o/s of the screen. I put a new screen in and a couple of months later, it had done the exact same thing :? It was a top tint too :(

I've just paid £30 quid for a new screen for my cortina, takes half hour to fit. I'd recommend leaving it as long as you can and keep an eye on ebay for someone local breaking a capri
