recently got all my old model planes to where im living now so though i would get on google and search out the local club to start learning to fly again

nipped down to the field today just to say hello and watch get me motivated again

and they gave me a go with the club trainer :mrgreen: picked it all up again within minutes and on the second flight the instructor was getting me todo loops :mrgreen::mrgreen:

reccons i wont be far off taking my A certificate :D

anyway basically these are big boys toys little planes with little engines that are quite capeable of killing somone if you hit them so you need to be tested and have a certificate to fly them on your own

my current plane but i sold its engine so gonna treat myself to a 4-stroke motor

and thats what ive wanted since i was about 12........capeable of over 150mph :shock:8)

just something else to divert me form getting the anglia finished though

I did RC cars mate for years, blown over 10k on it id say...

Still have 2 FG cars, one a capri that just sits on the shelf, and the marder is just gathering dust, about a grands worth of marder there that wont sell even at 350 but i aint letting it go for less, so have decided to build an RS200 shell for that.

Raced indoor ellectrics, 1/10th tourers and 12th stocks, 1/8th rallycross and largescale.

i think it helps to have something away from normal cars as cars all the time can do yer head in a bit, no i go carp fishing and that does my head in too

R/C cars for me. keep crashing it tho and now it sitting in bits.

im exactly the same bud !! im in two bands and practises take up the weekends... and work the week days,

but its all worth it when you look at people who are boring and spunk doll money up the pub and have no hobbies, id rather be too busy and skint any day :ykt:

I* bought myself a 2nd hand 1/10th nitro car last year. Drove it up the alleyway, and decided it was gutless

Brought it back, tweaked the mixture and tried again

It went like poo off a spade

I only fly electric, the power in batteries now make them close to IC, and much quieter.

WOW quite a collection, ive allways fancied a boat

thinking about converting a glider of mine to electrip power affraid i love the sound and smell of the glow engines too much to completly go electric, been promising myself a 4-stroke for years now

great vids ! like the second one with 'on board camera' :D how much do these things cost btw??

Only £50, and it once survived a trip to the bottom of a lake and still works well :)

I'm now flying this -i'm on my 3rd one and it only cost about 3 quid!!

I made it out of floormaster foam from B&Q, 11 quid for 6 square meters

I'm getting better at this whole flying thing now but it's costing me a few quid in props

I raced 1/10 buggies and touring cars, 1/12 scale circuit cars, 1/12 ministocks and stockcars.

Havent raced for a couple of years, but at the moment I have blackfoot 1/10 electric truck for the back garden, and a HPI Rush evo nitro car for a bit of fun in the fields

I had a go of my mates trainer place, and did ok at it, managed to fly it about in a big circle

The camera is a FlyCamOne V2

Just add a SD Memory card and away you go....

This is a full size clip, it's not a bad camera tbh. (And you can stick it on your OSF too if you want :) )

so can you plug it into the reciver and work it off a spare channel?

Yes, you can do that for still photos, otherwise I just press record before I fly, and then stop it when it's back on the ground.

Ive got a Marblehead class yatch that i built from a bare hull not as exciting as flying but i do get 2-3 hours sailing from a charge up. The problem i have is finding places to sail it where the water is deep enough as it has a draught of about 18 inches in total its 8 feet high with mast on and is 4 feet long. I also have 3 r/c gliders but havnt got round to learning to fly yet
