Paul_G Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 Peter is a good man, he speaks his mind and likes a debate. Not everyone on here has met him yet so if you do get a chance to sit down with him at a car show and have a chat, you will realise he can be a real pleasure to talk to. If Peter and his wife Geraldine had not started the SEOC back in the 80's there would be alot less Escorts on the road nowadays and hardly any base models to modify.
Savvi Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 I was a member of SEOC back in the 80's and Peter always made people feel welcome, i spoke on the phone to join, Internet only just taking off, and met at a few shows i attended. I tried to do the same with the Avo club but as my car was modified they wasn't really that interested and i always felt an outsider, although my brother with his concourse Rs2000 got on really well with them all. Good luck Peter hope you get well soon.
Posse Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 I have only spoke to him once and all i got was shit .Also i do remember last year at classic ford show someone off our stand paid £10 to have his car valued which was modded and just been paints and he said its worth about £2500 If its not standard in his eyes its not worth jack.
5hane Posted July 16, 2008 Report Posted July 16, 2008 petre is well alright, loved his estate too (now dave @ retro's) that WAS mint the club is good too, like you said.. they dont mind modified, concourse, or cars that are a bit rougt. get well
