What has surprised you about your new OSF?

For me it was a Jazz mag under the carpet!! Bonus!!!!

when i bought my escort it wasnt a runner, when we pulled it apart we found out it had a full blown crossflow init! everything accralyte pistons lightened and balanced crank da lot !!

mine had a full 157k miles on the old nackerd standard 2.0, had 3 engines since, 4th waiting to go in

 

nother suprise is how much welding i have to do on it!

behind the seats in a mk2 escort van i bought for spares a few years back i found a whole set of council road planning maps(enough to cover the walls of a large room)of the Thetford area in Norfolk dated 1968.Completely useless but interesting to see how the area has changed since.
