think about it logicaly its the adds that help bring the moneys in

id like to see low budget cars not major budget cars built in a garage by a pro but average joe with a drive and a hand full of tools

 

There are some lovely cars around which have been welded, assembled, sprayed etc in single garages and driveways up and down the country. And quite often for a hell of a lot less money than their worth due to scrounging and adapting parts to suit.

 

I appreciate the effort that goes into building a big money car as much as the next person. Its good that there are so many people willing to invest huge sums of money into old Fords.

 

BUT its good to see the real budget cars getting featured, the people who built their cars on their driveway under a tarpaulin, with extension leads running from the kitchen for power and chopping great big lumps out of their car even though they have never tried anything like it before and dont actually know if they can put it back together.

 

Its the people who are building cars in garages that inspired me. I cant afford to spend loads on my car so when I see the results that other people have got then it encouraged me to give things a go on mine.

i sprayed mine on my drive in the open on a hot sunny day and prayed the fly`s kept of, its not a show room or show winner but its mine and i done the work no credit card in sight

I´m relatively new to the "Ford scene" in the UK and have been reading Classic Ford for only a year so can´t really comment on what it used to be like.

 

Over here there is no "Ford Scene" with very little going on and even less ending up in magazines. So dont forget, you´re pretty spoilt over there!!

 

I find the mix pretty spot on and enjoy a good read irrelavant of what´s being spent. I think more important than the end price is the guy writing the article. Does he know what he´s up too?, does he live old Fords?, does his boss let him write it like he wants without too many politics?

 

So keep up the good work, oh and if you´d have done fewer pics of Daves green monster you´d have taken loads of stick too as it was the dogs danglies!!!
