evil knievel Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 the time has nearly come for my car to get a respray, and i'm stumped on which colour to go! stripes or no stripes, pin stripes, etc etc it's all so frustrating. post me up some pictures of your Capri's to give me a bit of inspiration cheers. PS: my favourite colour is mustard yellow
numbnuts Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 Burnt orange or butterscotch. or Gulf Oils colours. Heres a pic of a mini i built, sorry it's not a Capri but can't find a pic of one. _________________ Bone Disorders Forum
davreeve Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 IMO capri,s look good in yellow(or most colours)As said already daytona yellow is nice or for a deeper colour there is signal yellow
bomber1 Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 Burnt orange or butterscotch. or Gulf Oils colours. Heres a pic of a mini i built, sorry it's not a Capri but can't find a pic of one. i like that big time
Rick Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 never seen a gulf mini if its a mk1 capri then brown. mk2 brown. mk3.... brooklands greeny colour
Copey Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 so long as its not pink you cant really go wrong with a capri, the suit any colour, which probably doesnt help you narrow it down just think, do you want it to be really in your face? if so: Orange, Yellow, bright green, bright red or if you want it toned down: white, black, silver, dark grey, blue
evil knievel Posted August 9, 2008 Author Report Posted August 9, 2008 one problem i've found with yellow is that with black bumpers and fittings it makes it look like a bumble bee colours i'm considering: orange, bright red, black, dark grey, blue i don't believe in metallic colours really, they don't look right on old cars. thanksss
surfingturnip Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 spray it so it's so bright and in your face it makes your retinas bleed. Cant go wrong with that paint style
evil knievel Posted August 10, 2008 Author Report Posted August 10, 2008 haha good plan, although i was thinking midway... say a deep red? or maybe rosso red............
Conor Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Mine was red sprayed over a yellow base coat. Really makes it pop.
evil knievel Posted August 10, 2008 Author Report Posted August 10, 2008 Looks real nice! I'm really actually leaning towards ford blue with maybe some silver bits i dont know what to do
evil knievel Posted August 10, 2008 Author Report Posted August 10, 2008 i'm really tempted by these colours:
J_mk1 Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 i think i twist on the metalic blue the 2.8is come in would be cool
evil knievel Posted August 10, 2008 Author Report Posted August 10, 2008 yeahh it would look nice. i can't decide, suttle or seventies? the orange is really growing on me every time i look at it... some body slap me.[/img]
