thought theyd be a bit weighty for racing in. drag racing not so bad cuz your only goin one way

I don't think they are that heavy.

 

It's the same as some of the Tvr's have in them.

 

 

All the panels are glass fibre including doors, boot, bonnet.

 

 

He says it handles really well and has so much power it just power slides where ever you want it to go.

 

He got the yellow one road legal it has a pinto fitted, but thinks the orange one will be Mot'd and taxed within a couple of weeks.

I offered to bring it to some shows .................. he didn't say NO

Went to Silverstone over the weekend and watch these race after attending the Retro Rides show.

 

 

Both the Escorts came 1st in Class the orange one beating a £120,000 Aston Martin much to the owners dislike

I think that's TVR's own AJP8 engine from a Cerbera?

Yes, could well be as the Tuscan race series cars were updated to the AJP8's when the Rovers were phased out in them.

 

The Tuscan road car had the straight six engine and the Cerbera got the V8 and the straight six.

 

They have flat plane cranks and are pretty much a pure race engine.

The guy does a lot of Tvr work and used to race them, i know he said he's looking out for another one, if anyone has one ? think he said they sell for around 5 grand.
