Can you take a pic of the arm inside the bellhousing for me?

I've spent ages making a hydraulic arm that takes a pinto release bearing & couldn't get it to work (trying to run a pinto box on a pre x-flow) - this couud be a solution

is the bellhousing for the Essex??, if so there was a Granada bellhousing that fitted the type 9, wasnt made for very long and fetches a preimum on Ebay,

Other than that it could be a conversion, I did one for Essex to type 9 a little while ago for a mate,

Tep 2.5 Mk1 granny/consul is the essex to Type 9 one but that's cable, corsair and Mk1/2 cortina had hydrolic clutches though but only the corsair came with a V engine (as standard) :?

it looks like an essex bellhousing to me

but the only one ive got to compare it to is in the engine bay :)

a mate of mine also thought it could be a conversion too

i just wondered if there was an essex/type5 motor running a hydraulic clutch

would just be easier for me to find the correct master cylinder for it

no probs stooby, ill take a pic of the release arm later on when i disappear to the garage

so it is an essex bellhousing :)

Wow!! That's pretty much what I've been trying to make for a while now!!

I've given up & bought a 2000e box!

Would you have sold that arm & bearing just out of interest?

x

im not sure, cuz im kinda thinking of using it as is and converting the pedal end

just finished buyin nos parts, the system is now capable of 400lbs tq so a pretty dam hefty clutch is going to be needed

It's ok, I don't need it now. It's just frustrating to know theres an off the shelf part that I've been trying to make & get working for a while!

im just chuff`ed as i didnt even notice when i bought :)

as it seems its a Corsair V4 bellhousing it shouldnt be too difficult to find ;)

also means i need to find a Corsair clutch master cylinder, and whatever else is required to fit it in the cappa
