Hi People,

I've been offerd an completely original 1974 MK1 Escort Mexico TYPE 49 in the colour Daytona Yellow. No replica!

It's a RHD car, and needs a FULL resto. The car is complete with all the standard mexico options, it also has optional Ford mirrors on the front panels. Interiour is in a very good condition.

It would be hard to say for Uk members to say how much a car abroad is worth.

Having said that a standard 1300 built with the type 49 shell being bought in Australia are fetching around the £1500 to £2000 sterling for a good solid car so i'm been told ? I know someone who then sells them on for around £3000 to £4000 depending on condition etc.

If that car was in the Uk in that sort of condition i would guess around £2-3000 ?

I'm sure others will soon comment

i would say its anything up to £4000 but it only really worth what ever you are willing to pay

That's a good one...

He asks about 4700 incl. new front panel, 4 new floor pans,2 outer sills,2 new rear wheel arches, new rear panel .

It has good front mexico wings on the car. 1 door is ok, the other one is rusty.

I think the price is a bit too high isn't??

Thanks again!
