Copey Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 basically i have been struggling to find a proper job at the moment and have just had part time work at tesco's, but they have over spent on the budget and ther is no longer any overtime, so instead of £400+ a month i am on £200, and my parents have been tellin me to find another job so i can earn more money, and i have found i can move to a different tesco store and get more overtime, but now my parents are telling me to stay where i am...anyone elses parents like this? its quite annoying!

antz Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 im getting there kids think im crazy for washing the car in the rain saves on the water bill, you do right i always do it
5hane Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 i really do not see the logic in that how the hell do you leather it
antz Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 i really do not see the logic in that how the hell do you leather it you dont. hence why you do it!!! wash it in the rain cos the car is already wet and doesnt need hosing. you wash it and it doesnt need rinsing off or leathering. saves time and effort
5hane Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 yh, but then there is no point is washing it ? it starts raining.. 'dirty' warter i falling on ur car (im not beeing it isnt clean is it.. ) as the car is wet.. no need for wetting the car plus point so you now wash the car in hot soapy warter.. but whils removing dirt.. rain water is faling on the car, leaving 'dirt' so you could be there for hours untill the rain stopps.. you give up after going round the car 20 times, and have used as much warter and energy from warm warter as you would have in the first place.. maby more ok.. so now now need to rinse it all off have a cup of tea so the bubbles have gone.. out comes the leather.. now this just isnt going to work you go round the car.. missing loads of bits because you want to do it as quick as.. because ur getting soaking wet .. go have another cup of tea.... hear thunder.. . now the rain is bouncing off ur car and your road has become a river.. so.. you have got ur self drenched used up all ur hot warter.. you cannot now have a bath to warm urself up and you have not acheived any cleaning on ur car.. except that bit of mud that's behind the rear arch i just dont get it
5hane Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 or diffrent senario.. after ur second cup of tea.. all the bubbles are gone rain dies down inhalf hour.. buy this time ur waching a film or on osf and cannot be bothered to get up and leather the car.. there is now loads of water marks all over the car.. so now you should wax it.. whats way more bother
surfingturnip Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 or you could just clean it in the rain, get it cleaner than it was and drive the damn thing. oh and getting wet in the rain? you're British, get used to it and maintain the stiff upper lip
caprinerd Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 your young im old and senile remember if you wash the car off in the rain the dirt is already soft and not caked on so less likely to scratch once the car is washed i flick over it with a pressure washer to remove the soap so the car is now washed and clean i shammy the car off in an order that way its done oh by the way i use to velet mercs for a living and went from there to jags As i have a lot of time on my hands im doing a course for concours judging
X-pack-Glyn Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Tesco suck arse big time, is that right if you are more than 2 mins late they dock 15 mins wages, so anyone thats late may as well come in 15 mins later rather than 2. i would rather the dole then work for them blood sucking leeches.
