NginEEr Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 well after 50 or so companys its proving impossible for me to insure a 1300 fiesta im going as a named driver too and they just wont touch me its an old fiesta for gods sake ive tried HIC, CIS, all the top companies adrian flux etx but just dead ends every where think im just gonna sell them up and get a 1.0 12 v corsa
SmokeEm Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Ask for a limited mileage classic policy from flux or footman james. Normally no probs with them
NginEEr Posted September 1, 2008 Author Report Posted September 1, 2008 tryed :(its cause its had an engine change andm e havingnono claims etc just killing me for it
4 door escort Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 what engine is in it now? try Lancaster for a classic policy or competition car insurance if it's been modified
NginEEr Posted September 1, 2008 Author Report Posted September 1, 2008 was an 1100 but now has a 1300 xflow bloke b4 me decided to tell the dvla even tho there no diff from the outside so annoying as a put loads int o this car for it all to back fire i can insure my mk2 escort 1.3 cheaper but thts no wer near finished as i thought the fiesta would turn out cheaper
NginEEr Posted September 1, 2008 Author Report Posted September 1, 2008 yea but chances are then if i have a crash it will come up it was once a 1300 and they willl do a double check or atleast could
NginEEr Posted September 1, 2008 Author Report Posted September 1, 2008 no use its forsale now http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... hp?t=82141
Fiesta Steve Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Can't see why you'd have to tell them it's had an engine change. As long as you tell them its a 1300 from the start and it says 1300 on the log book then there should be no problem.
NginEEr Posted September 1, 2008 Author Report Posted September 1, 2008 tryed that first mate was on the road 4 days. but thery figured out tht the 1300l dosent exsist for an 83 fezza

Trevmk3 Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 yea i never realised it was an 1100l till i purchasedit myselfi only found out whentthe insurance voided me your lucky they voided you now and not if you had been in an accident like my insurance did to me and i ended up having to pay for the damage to the Audi TT i cant see why they wouldnt insure it though mate, theres a load of cars that dont have the engines in that they had in the factory, how many mk1 escorts came out the factory with a coosie lump? keep tying mate
