omj624p Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 Anyone else secretly jealous and want to try it? I know I am! What a 'rush' http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-New ... _In_Durham Amazing she survived though!!!
omj624p Posted September 8, 2008 Author Report Posted September 8, 2008 ''The family dog also dived into the water but has not been seen since.'' Awwww. Poor dog.
surfingturnip Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 good that she survived, and storm drain surfing works better in teh American style emergency overflow drains that you often see people drag racing in when its dry
FredTransit Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Am I the only one thinking she only ended up in the drain cos the cover was missing? Possibly cos it had been nicked for scrap? Think about it, the scrotes take the cover, and leave a hole they think you will see. It rains. A lot. The water backs up and covers the hole and drain. Kiddie plays in puddle, gets sucked in. If it had a grille on it, the worst that would happen is that she would have got her foot stuck. What actually happened is that the kiddie nearly drowned, and their dog has gone. Is this the first case of illegal scrappers nearly causing a death?
omj624p Posted September 9, 2008 Author Report Posted September 9, 2008 Apparently the lid was nearby, a surge of water earlier from inside had popped it off.
Daggle Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 If you want to try surfing, then have a go on this one
