Checked the front panel no signs of spots ever being there.

id does look sort of like a relay, has the car got an imobiliser? also is there any numbers, makers mark on it?

It has security now but at the time of the photo it did not, however that box is still in situ.

Its been suggested it maybe for my light However iam not one for pulling at cables as ive already been hospitalised once by the car

This is what my mate thought it was for, i only ask as i want to put a pinto in and another mate thought i may need to cut the "Cr@p" out of the loom

if your fitting a pinto it may be a good idea to either completly re-do the loom or fit a new loom, just to tidy everything up
