Today myself & Gary (pccapri) made the journey up to X Pack Glyns to have head swapped over. Upon arriving, Glyn looked like death but after a coffee, all was fine. Tim (Escort21) then turned up & the work began....

Old head off in half an hour. Swapped over the stat, tensioner studs etc & slapped the new Vulcan maxiflow2 with HT1 cam on. (Valves look like dustbin lids & there was a rather scary moment when we thought that the pistons would need pocketing such was the extent of the valve lift )

Once fired up and running, Gary n Tim went for a blast & although Gary said it was deffo quicker, he was still a little dissapointed at the difference. It was then that Glyn noticed the viscous fan was seized solid! After me Glyn n Tim belting hell out of it to get it off, we changed it for one Glyn had lying around and the second test drive could commence.

FOOKIN hell! - what a difference! It pulls like a steam train & the noise..., ooo the noise!

We won't have time to get it set up before round 7 but we are hoping for a few tenths off last rounds 16.63. :ykt:

A MASSIVE thanks to Glyn n Tim. You guys really should make the effort & come to next Sundays round at Avon park. 8)

a steam train is a massive understatement !!!!!

so much faster, cant wait to see the difference on the track.

and then on the rollers i think 145 before and 155+ after is my guesstimate.
