5hane Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 love mk3 cortinas my dad could have got a 3.0 mk3 2door a few year back for free, absoloute mint excet some dents where it had been hiabd off a lorry they were using it for the mean-street cruise (its and it lived but my dad had nothing to toe it with.. so they crushed it some people ahh well , looks nice definatly got potential

We're all different after all if Antz doesn't like it he's perfectly entitled not to. I just happen to like it and would happily drive it (especially over a load of chavs ) so as a great man once said...... CHILL WINSTON oh and stooby your cortina is awesome for being what it is, even if its not uber rat or any other scene. It's cool as fook either way

antz Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 argh will people stop saying rat do we prefer rodent look? rattus rattus look? fcked look? the phrase RAT LOOK now is just a common word to describe a car thats untidy or rough round the edges...your cars well rat look. thats well rat look, woah you got a rust bubble, the cars well rat look now.....in that case my volvos rat look cos the wheels are untidy and its covered in scratches... the true essence of ratlook has been long forgotten and the perception has been twisted by people who intentionally make their cars go rusty, cover them in stickers and spray them satin/matte black. (please do not take this as a dig at you guys with matte black cars!!!!!!)

richie_stix Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 no offense meant antz... you muppet sorry, had few beers, love the rat look, got deffensive! in my opinion, the 'rat' look came from 'rat rod'... ie a homebuilt budget hotrod, not a high budget rod covered in chrome? i saw a max power that had 'rat' corsa's and the like, blatantly all had loadsa cash spent on em looking like that... not my cuppa tea! and stooby, in the 'names to faces' thread i was biggin up your mk3 as my fav so stop gettin jealous! it's actually nicer than this one looks wise, but this has a v8!
