MexDan Posted November 20, 2008 Report Posted November 20, 2008 My mate has a custom Zephyr, used to win a few awards.. roof chopped it, had to make a brand new floor, runs a chevy v8 and nos, used to run 13second 1/4s.. pretty cool machine Its sitting in his garage under some sheets...

I was thinking may be a room for Z-cars, one for Corsairs and one for Ford uprights but I've got to agree with admin because there just isn't that many of us on OSF. I don’t like using the “Others” room because it seems to be a dumping ground for odd topics and “what stereo shall I fit?” type questions. May be we the minority should share a room just for our type of cars? What do you think?

If there was a room that had a name that was more aimed at these models then perhaps people wouldn’t post up questions such as “I need to buy some bolts” or “What battery cable should I buy for my ESCORT” or “What door mirrors shall I buy for my Mk2 CORTINA.” Because the room is named “Others” people seem to misunderstand that this means other Ford models and post up question not really meat for this room! Maybe the room should be renamed and a better description given? Rant over!!!

But as for the rest maybe the room could be re-named “Z cars and Uprights” or even "Early Fords". Then that would cover a lot of the older Fords such as the early Prefect / Pilot / Popular / Anglia / Zodiac / Zephyr and Consul. Description could read: FOR ALL YOUR EARLY MODEL FORD TECHNICAL QUESTIONS Just a thought, hope it helps
