mk1fez Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 hello lads, you featured my granada in the readers rides in the may 2008 issue, and i was thinking is there any room for my fiesta in the next issue? here are a few pics : thanks in advance lads!
Daggle Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 If that gets featured in RF, then it will be a first, they don't do Fiesta's , try CF for Fiesta action
DAZZA Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 I can jump on this thread now. Its a shame Fiesta's dont get a look in. After scouring the ads for a half decent 105e at sensible money for my 16 yr old son, it was decided that the time, money and work involved to get him mobile and the car looking half decent, far exceeded any sensible first car solution. Hence the change of plan to a Mk1 Fiesta..... These are still available, have not hit the 'scene tax' bracket and provide an acceptable classic alternative to a rear driver. Arent we supposed to be encouraging the young guys away from the plastic? My son lives and breaths OSF's and looks for guidance and motivation throughout the pages of our chosen magazines. I am sure RF have their reasons, not enough interest, front driver, not classic enough, covered by other mags etc, but to accept such a car under the biggest UK forum and then not by a related mag seems a little confusing to me? Look at Johnsons' beige fiesta......... anyone would be lying if they say they were not impressed by that! Still, I could tell him that 2-3 years down the line, that mk1 tina he wants may be in with a fighting chance for a feature.
mk1fez Posted December 3, 2008 Author Report Posted December 3, 2008 agreed mate, i think any pre '85 for should get atleast a mention
Fiesta Steve Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 I've had a few mentions and small pics in Retro Ford, bigger pics needed for next year I rekon

Fiesta Steve Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 Maybe they'll want to feature the UK's fastest Crossflow powered Fiesta There's a battle for that title this year isn't there? Lets hope so, quick crossflow's are a good thing, maybe the mag will cover 'the battle of the festa's' over the course of the season.
