bmxdave Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 Its time to get my insurance renewal but im after another car too. At the moment ive get the RS Turbo but im looking to buy a mk2 cortina within the next few weeks. My best quotes so far are RS Turbo ; £930 and mk2 ; £490. Does anyone know where i could get a multicar policy apart from admiral, or a better way of insuring them instead of two seperate policies?
Savvi Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 There's some companies that are going to be doing "pay as you go" car insurance very shortly. I have just signed up to fit trackers so that they know when the vehicle is used etc. I was told that it's a "soft" launch starting later this month.
Admin Vista Posted December 13, 2008 Admin Report Posted December 13, 2008 Do you / they not qualify for Classic insurance? I have both my classics on one policy with Footman James and pay around £360 fully comp with unlimited mileage, agreed values and all mods declared.
bmxdave Posted December 13, 2008 Author Report Posted December 13, 2008 I havnt really tried. Im 21 and my past experiences with 'classic' insurers is that im not old enough. Ill have a look at FJ though.

72mk1escort Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Im pretty sure you should be alright mate as i most of them want you to be 21
lee_capri Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 you can get a first time part time trader's insurance for that, you can have what ever you want but the only draw back is you have to own at least i think it's 50 car's a year, you also have to have more new stuff then old plate all the time, this is how i do mine
sab6024 Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 I shopped around and because I do about 30,000 miles a year and they need to be covered for business use, the cheapest way I could do it was to insure them all seperately believe it or not Have you asked for a quote from the insurers you're with now coz the company I'm with mirrors the NCD I have on the main car. So in reality I have 10 years discount on 2 cars and 3 years on the other which keeps it all cheaper.
mk1ToM Posted December 16, 2008 Report Posted December 16, 2008 I have that problem buddy as i'm not old enough for classic insurance, have ended up insuring my scooby and the escort on 2 different poilcies
