pauline Posted December 18, 2008 Author Report Posted December 18, 2008 she is going again thanks to a very nice rac man the starter motor had gone and he has changed it all for me so she is running again
SmokeEm Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 Lets hope you get some better luck over Xmas
FredTransit Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 Glad you are mobile again, you have more luck than me with the RAC. I think they take one look at me and say, nah she can manage, she drives a big van. Sometimes I stand over em and make em fit stuff like starter motors. Most of the time it's in the middle of the night and they think I can't get the spares, but we keep a starter and alternator for the diesel and 2 petrol engines, even the V4! Gets em every time, I let em come out with, "well you need a new starter/alternator, if you have one I would fit it", then produce said part!!
RS2kSX Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 my alternator went on the van yesterday, got a new one at trade, £298 fitted. why do we bother with nice new vans when the old ones are better....
mk1super Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 Pauline i can see you now branch in had beating lumps out of it faulty style Huh? mk1super Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 Steady on Alex mate. I don't believe Fred meant for you to take offence. Chill mate. When you have had the piss taken out of you, on a regular basis for most of your life, it tends to wear thin after a while. I thought i'd came to a point in my life where i didnt have to apologise in advance for my inability to spell and use grammar in the correct way, last night proved otherwise.

I really do wish there was a spell check and a some form of gender sign at the side so we know whos what.
