hellblue Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 It dont all have to be done today does it !!! sit back relax enjoy it .....its a work in progress thats what my mk1 is, a few hundred pound into a osf is money well spent i bet your dad paid that for his last service & i bet his plastic crapper has lost more value in the time you have had yours than what you paid for it You could get the work done in a garage with what he could save if you get him to buy an osf too
YOUNGY Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 just take ur time dont rush and enjoy it
caprinerd Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 just take your time and dont be in a rush to get it all done in one hit, if you rush you`ll make mistakes and that will mean more time to be spent start at the front or back and work your way through the car bit by it
evil knievel Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 mate you've got 2 years to make it road worthy... til your 17 i mean. sit back, relax, and enjoy the progress. it will make ragging the shite out of it that bit more fun
Grey Crayford Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 As the others said, relax, theres no panic needed, just take your time & concentrate on doing a good job of things, just work your way through each part of the car. I took my 'tina to bits for a quick freshen up in 2002, still messing with it now!! Stick with it, the end result will be more than worth the effort.
walsh253 Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 christ it didnt take you long to give up what did you expect when you bought an old FORD a rust free shell it would be boring if everything went to plan, and dont join the moaning clan
5hane Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 bloody hell mate did we talk about this yesterday? stop worring about getting it done !! give it time, Rome wernt built overnight mate you've got 2 years to make it road worthy... til your 17 i mean. sit back, relax, and enjoy the progress. it will make ragging the shite out of it that bit more fun ... and insturing it wont happen when your 17 anyway (unless you pay something silly) and you will want a bit of experiance because your more likely to crash.. also from the pic's you put up it looked solid (bit of serfacerust) get some pic's.. and have alook at what some people are restoring .. soem of the cars have more rust than metal ! dotn give up

Takeshi Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 You've had the car what...a month or so? If you bought the car expecting it to be slightly rusty, then I'm not surprised your shocked. It is like 40 years old, give it a break Just take your time and stick at it
mk1super Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 quit ya whining. if we all gave up at the first hurdle then nothing would ever get done Ah so thats where iam going wrong There is an irony to this the man who sells panels cant find panels for his own car, sods law innit
