D4N Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Since i left school 2 years ago i have become realy unfit.. When i was at school i was always up with the top runners in cross country etc. Running round the football pitch none stop. Well now xmas and newyear has passed i thought il start tomorow. So i think i will start by doing a gentle jog round my area 4 times a week or something then up the pace.. Anyone got any new years resolutions?
evil knievel Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 yep! my new years resolution was to hit the gym harder, and work on the capri much more! done both of these and should have a big box of parts on my door step tomorrow
red-rum816 Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 mine is 2 get my car finished and buy my self a new project.
D4N Posted January 5, 2009 Author Report Posted January 5, 2009 Any tips for keep sticking at it lol. cos last year i went for a jog twice in two weeks and gave up I think probly set my self a goal will be the best way otherwise i wont do it.. I can't go to the gym though IDk i just don't feel like being in the same room as aload of sweaty men..
evil knievel Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 there is hardly ever any one in my gym, so im a lone wolf when it comes to working out! all i can say is you have to want to do it! you have to set yourself a goal and keep on trying to get that goal until its done. and by then it will be routine and you will do it out of habit. dont over-jog at first though. a lot of people dont do any exercise for years and then dive straight in to running 7 days a week! thats a sure way to hurt yourself all the best with your resolutions guys
D4N Posted January 6, 2009 Author Report Posted January 6, 2009 Thanks for the tips. i would probs would of joged my legs off haha . il start slow
pauline Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 i dont normal do them but have decided to do one this year of clearinmg the house out and keeping it tidy
stuartp Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 i'm going to try and go for a month or two without drinking pints and see if it makes any difference to my ever expanding beer belly that and get my escort all sorted not sure i'll manage either
Copey Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 i'm going to try and go for a month or two without drinking pints and see if it makes any difference to my ever expanding beer belly that and get my escort all sorted not sure i'll manage either i cut down on drinkin and lost quite a lot of weight through it (dropped from nearly 16 stone to just over 11 in 3 months) i didnt do any exercise and i didnt have a set diet, just ate what i normally did (junk basically) only a bit less of it
sab6024 Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 My New Years Resolution is to not make a New Years Resolution I never keep at them anyway

stuartp Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 i cut down on drinkin and lost quite a lot of weight through it (dropped from nearly 16 stone to just over 11 in 3 months) i didnt do any exercise and i didnt have a set diet, just ate what i normally did (junk basically) only a bit less of it that's exactly what i want to hear i don't eat too unhealthily at all, it's all down to the lager i reckon i'm not massive (just under 14 stone) but i'm heavier than I have ever been and I could certainly do with losing a stone (or two maybe) i do like a drink though so even if it works i'm not sure I could keep it up
