difference between a notebook / laptop ??

thinking of buying my son a laptop..BUT wondered if those notebooks are any good.

Notebooks are Laptops, & Laptops are Notebooks. They are both the same, but there is a smaller PC called a Tablet. This is tiny compared to a Notebook and they normally have a 7 inch screen size (Approx). They don't have as much storage or RAM as a Notebook and they are mainly intended for Web Browsing.
